Best Wood Dresser?

Postby harry05 » Mon Mar 11, 2013 1:10 pm

Pine is a popular material choice for a wood dresser because it is quite attractive and affordable, but untreated pine is susceptible to warping, splitting, and cracking. Treating the wood will help prevent such damage, and it can also improve the aesthetics of the wood dresser. Even a coat of paint can go a long way toward preserving the wood furniture you choose to buy.

Working in a circular motion, press firmly, but don't worry too much about coverage — the goal with this step is just to rough up the old varnish so that the primer can adhere. After you've used the coarse sandpaper, go over everything again with the medium grade paper, this time working with the direction of the wood grain.
